MAKING YOUR MBA POSSIBLE WITH OUR
MERIT BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

Getting an MBA is one of the most important decisions in your life. We have a number of merit based scholarships to help you take a step closer to transforming your personal and professional life. No separate scholarship application is required.

  • Only one scholarship may be awarded to each eligible candidate, with the exception of The NUS MBA Local University Alumni Grant.
  • Please note that awards and scholarships are subject to change. Scholarship decisions will be announced in May (full-time MBA) and June (part-time MBA) each year.
  • To be considered for a scholarship, candidates must complete the scholarship essay question in the online application and submit a completed application by the scholarship consideration round.
The NUS MBA Dean’s Award, The NUS MBA Excellence Award, and The NUS MBA Achiever Award are scholarships available to outstanding candidates applying to the full-time MBA programme. Selection is based on academic and professional achievements, competitiveness of application, and leadership potential. The awards fund 15% or more of the tuition fees, depending on the type of award.
Full-time and part-time Singaporean candidates are eligible for NUS MBA Local Scholarships, which are awarded based on the candidates’ academic and professional achievements, competitiveness of application, and leadership potential of the candidates. Note to part-time MBA applicants: only candidates with competitive test scores (GMAT/GRE/EA) will be considered for scholarships.
Admitted candidates to the part-time MBA programme who demonstrates strong academic and professional achievements, as well as good leadership potential, may be considered for this award. Note to part-time MBA applicants: only candidates with competitive test scores (GMAT/GRE/EA) will be considered for scholarships.
Exceptional candidates from traditionally under-represented nationalities are eligible for The NUS MBA Diversity Scholarship, which aims to attract exceptional candidates from these regions to enhance the classroom dynamic and diversity of the MBA cohort. This is only applicable to full-time MBA candidates.
Applicable for admitted candidates who have shown a keen interest in entrepreneurial ventures.
Applicable for admitted candidates from emerging economies who have demonstrated strong leadership potential.
Applicable for admitted candidates from LATAM countries.
Applicable for admitted African nationals to The NUS MBA Programme.
Applicable for admitted candidates from the European continent.
Applicable for admitted candidates from the Middle East.
The NUS MBA ASEAN Scholarships are awarded to deserving full-time candidates who are citizens of ASEAN member countries, with the exception of Singapore. Scholarships are given based on the candidates’ academic and professional background, strength of the application, overall leadership potential and financial need.
The NUS MBA Women-In-Business Scholarship is aimed at women who demonstrate strong undergraduate performance, solid GMAT/GRE score and proven leadership capabilities, or who have made a positive impact to society. This is only applicable to full-time MBA candidates.
The Lam See Chiew Memorial Scholarship in Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy is applicable for all admitted full- and part-time candidates of The NUS MBA and the double degree MBA programmes. Candidates are appraised based on their participation in social entrepreneurship ventures, philanthropy or non-profit sectors, or volunteer work in social-outreach organisations for a minimum of two years. To be considered for this scholarship, please submit your application by the Round 1 application deadline. Note to part-time MBA applicants: only candidates with competitive test scores (GMAT/GRE/EA) will be considered for scholarships.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB)-Japan Scholarship is awarded annually by the Government of Japan to outstanding full-time MBA candidates who are citizens of borrowing member countries of the ADB. To be considered for this scholarship, please submit your application by the Round 1 application deadline.
This grant helps fund the expenses of full-time or part-time students who wish to pursue experiential learning opportunities while on the programme, which may include but are not limited to participation in international study trips, case competitions, conferences, MBA Consulting Projects (for costs not covered by the corporate partner). Funds are disbursed on a reimbursement basis, up to a total of S$5,000 per student over the duration of the programme. Only candidates who are successfully admitted to the programme will be eligible to apply for this grant.
A one-time grant of S$8,000 is awarded to deserving NUS alumni who have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at NUS. Applicants are considered for a grant review after acceptance to the programme. The grant is fully disbursed during Year 1, Semester 1 and reflected in the student bill. The grant is limited to offset tuition fees and cannot be used to offset other costs, such acceptance fees, mandatory miscellaneous fees (MMF) and other study-related expenses.
Full-time staff of NUS, NUS High School and National University Health System with a minimum of 12 months of continuous employment at the time of application may apply for the NUS Staff Concession, which offers 20% off the total part-time MBA tuition fee (excludes acceptance fees). The concession is directly deducted from the student’s tuition fee.
This scholarship, funded by the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE), is awarded annually to deserving candidates from APEC member economies who have been admitted to the full-time MBA programme. To be considered for this scholarship, please submit your application by the Round 1 application deadline.
A one-time grant of S$4,000 is awarded to alumni who have completed their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees from the following local universities: Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), or Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Applicants need to apply to The NUS MBA and subsequently be offered admission to the programme before they are considered for the grant review. This grant is fully disbursed during Year 1, Semester 1 and will be reflected in the student bill.
In many ways the NUS MBA was a journey of self-discovery and one after which I have come out stronger and ready to restart my career in earnest.
