The NUS MBA Study Awards
From a total of over S$1 million, a number of awards will be granted to different deserving students. Applications are open to full-time students of all nationalities and part-time students. Scholarships are awarded based on background, performance during the application process and overall leadership potential of the candidates. All full-time MBA applicants who have accepted the admissions offer will automatically be considered for these awards, which offset tuition fees over two semesters.
The NUS MBA Local Scholarship
Full-time and part-time Singaporean candidates are eligible for NUS MBA Local Scholarships, which are awarded based on the candidates’ background, performance during the application process and overall leadership potential. Scholarships cover 14%-100% of the tuition fees. Eligible MBA applicants who have accepted the admissions offer are automatically considered for these awards, which offset tuition fees for two semesters for full-time students and four semesters for part-time students.
The NUS MBA Diversity Scholarship
Exceptional candidates from Latin America, Central Asia and Africa are eligible for the NUS MBA Diversity Scholarship, which aims to attract exceptional candidates these regions to enhance the classroom dynamic and diversity of the MBA cohort. Scholarships range from 30% to 65% of the tuition fees. This is only applicable to full-time MBA candidates.
The NUS MBA ASEAN Scholarship
The NUS MBA ASEAN Scholarships are awarded to deserving full-time candidates who are citizens of ASEAN member countries, with the exception of Singapore. Scholarships cover 65%-90% of the tuition fees and are given based on the candidates’ background, performance during the application process, overall leadership potential and financial need. Eligible full-time MBA applicants who have accepted the admissions offer will be automatically considered for these awards, which offset tuition fees for two semesters.
The NUS MBA Women-In-Business Scholarship
The NUS MBA Women-In-Business Scholarship is aimed at women who possess a strong bachelor degree, solid GMAT score and proven leadership capabilities, or who have made a positive impact to society. Scholarships are S$22,000 each. This is only applicable to full time MBA candidates.
Lam See Chiew Memorial Scholarship in Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy
The Lam See Chiew Memorial Scholarship in Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy is available for all admitted full- and part-time candidates of the NUS MBA and the Double Degree MBA Programmes. Candidates are appraised based on their participation in social entrepreneurship ventures, philanthropy or non-profit sectors, or volunteer work in social-outreach organisations for a minimum of two years.
Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship
The Asian Development Bank (ADB)-Japan Scholarship is awarded annually by the Government of Japan to outstanding full-time NUS MBA candidates who are citizens of borrowing member countries of the ADB.
The NUS Alumni Loyalty Grant
A one-time grant of S$8,000 is awarded to deserving NUS alumni who have completed a bachelor’s or post-graduate degree at NUS. Applicants are considered for a grant review after acceptance into the programme. The grant is fully disbursed during Year 1, Semester 1 and reflected in the student bill. The grant is limited to offset tuition fees and cannot be used to offset other costs, such acceptance fees, mandatory miscellaneous fees (MMF) and other study-related expenses.
NUS Staff Concession
Full-time staff of NUS, NUS High School and National University Health System with a minimum of 12 months continuous employment at the time of application will be eligible to apply for the NUS Staff Concession, which offers 20% off the total part-time NUS MBA tuition fee. The concession is directly deducted from the student’s tuition fee.
Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship
Available for Singaporean citizens, the Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) Scholarship recognises outstanding individuals with the passion and ability to positively contribute to Singapore. Supported by generous contributions from the public, the LKY Scholarship Fund was established in 1991 in honour of Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.
This scholarship, funded by the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE), is awarded annually to deserving candidates from APEC member economies who have been admitted to the full-time MBA programme.
The OCBC Scholarship
The OCBC – NUS MBA Scholarship is awarded by OCBC Bank to offer education support to bright,talented and experienced professionals from various backgrounds to pursue the NUS MBA programme, in order to transition into a successful career in Banking. Eligibility: – Offered a place in the NUS MBA programme – Candidates holding Chinese citizenship – Excellent academic record with strong interest in Banking/Finance sectors – Good command in English and Mandarin – Not on paid employment or accept paid employment or concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary or top-up allowance during the prescribed period of the award Application procedure and deadline – You will only be considered for the scholarship after you have been offered a place in the NUS MBA programme. – Shortlisted candidates will be notified latest by 31 May 2019
The NUS MBA Local University Alumni Grant
A one-time grant of S$4,000 is awarded to alumni who have completed their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees from the following local universities: Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Applicants need to apply to the NUS MBA programme and subsequently be offered admission to the programme before they are considered for the grant review. This grant is fully disbursed during Year 1, Semester 1 and will be reflected in the student bill.
The NUS MBA was a perfect match and once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. I could foster global network and cultivate cutting edge knowledge about Asian business protocols as well as global business.
