Should you decide to enroll your child in a childcare center or infant care in Singapore, rest assured that they will receive excellent care. With structured mealtimes and nap schedules, along with engaging learning and play opportunities with peers, your child’s well-being and development are prioritized. Additionally, many childcare centers now offer technology-driven platforms where parents can stay informed about their child’s daily activities, learning progress, and more. You’ll be kept updated on all your child’s day-to-day achievements, ensuring you remain connected and involved in their journey.

Differences between Childcare, Infant Care and Kindergarten

Childcare centre in Singapore: Childcare centres in Singapore are open to children aged 18 months to 6 years old, and offer both half-day and full-day programmes to suit working parents. Childcare centres in Singapore run from 7am to 7pm. Meals are taken care of at childcare centres, with schools usually providing breakfast, lunch and a snack for tea break. Some childcare centres in Singapore also allocate shower time.

Infant care in Singapore: Some childcare centres provide infant care programmes for babies as young as two months old. Infant care centres in Singapore also offer full-day care arrangements and may offer half-day programmes. As more care is required for babies in infant care programmes, the fees are usually higher than childcare programmes. The school schedule for infant care in Singapore is usually the same as those at childcare centres.

Preschool/kindergartens in Singapore: Preschools and kindergartens often cater to children aged 18 months to below 7 years old with half-day programmes. Preschool and kindergarten services are available Mondays to Fridays, and are closed on gazetted public holidays and school holidays based on the dates released by MOE. An exception is kindergartens that follow an international curriculum and academic year.

Facilities and Amenities on Campus for Spouses

For spouses living on-campus, there are complimentary shuttle bus transportation for convenient access to campus facilities. Spouses residing in University Town Residences (UTR) need to register at the Management Office for official records. After verification, Housing Services will provide a registration link via the REBOKS system for facility use. Reach out to Housing Services for assistance or further information.

Mother’s Room

Within our commitment to fostering a supportive environment for all members of our community, we are pleased to announce the availability of a nursing room at the Hon Sui Sen (HSS) Building. This facility is designed to accommodate the needs of mothers, offering a comfortable and discreet area for nursing infants or expressing milk. For more information about accessing this resource, mothers are encouraged to reach out to the Programs Office upon their arrival.

We understand that pursuing an MBA is not just an individual journey but also a family affair.
