Describe your personal brand.

The Thinker. In both the good and not-so-good sense, I reflect a lot on data insights and market insights and can develop very comprehensive business approaches. However, often, this can overcomplicate the issue at hand.

What were you doing before The NUS MBA?

I worked as a Growth Manager in Google throughout my NUS MBA candidature and continue to do so. I have a bar in Da Nang as a passion project and I provide monetization and growth consultations to startups on a pro-bono basis during my free time.

Please share your key achievements and leadership roles on the programme.

Honestly, I have no idea how I managed to win the award. I do remember actively applying what I learned in school to my job at Google and my passion projects. This allowed me to contribute relevant insights during classes, bridging the gap between theoretical case studies and my work.

What has been the single most stand-out experience of your MBA?

What fascinated me the most were the moments where the programme showed me what excellence looks like, and how even the biggest companies in the world cannot get it right all the time.

What advice would you give to other MBA aspirants?

Come in with an open mind and do a lot of reflection. MBA is not about learning tools for a job. It’s about broadening perspectives and gaining new friendships.
