Full-time students must enrol in courses consisting of a minimum 12 Units (maximum 20 Units) per semester. For each special term, they can enrol for courses up to 8 Units.

Part-time students must enrol in courses consisting of minimum 4 Units (maximum 12 Units) per semester. For each special term, they can enrol for courses up to 8 Units.

Each course (core or elective) is 4 Units.

Specialisations are optional. Students may select from any of the electives offered as long as 28 Units from the electives are attained.

Students in the NUS MBA can choose to specialise in up to two of the following:

  • Finance

  • Strategy and Organization
  • Entrepreneurship & Innovation
  • Digital Business
  • Consulting
  • Analytics & Operations
  • Real Estate*
  • Healthcare Management*

Students need to fulfill a minimum of 20 Units and meet a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 in relevant courses to qualify for a specialisation.

*For specialisations in Real Estate and Healthcare Management, you need to indicate your choice at the time of application as these two programmes have distinct requirements.

The NUS MBA admits one intake per year, and the programme begins with Orientation and Launch Your Transformation (LYT) 5-day bootcamp in mid-July. Classes will officially start in early August. Each academic year consists of two semesters (Aug-Nov and Jan-Apr) and two special terms (May-Jun and Jun-Jul).

Please note that the LYT bootcamp runs across 5 consecutive full days. Part-time MBA students are required to take time-off from work commitments during this period.

Yes, the programme is offered in both full-time (17 months) and part-time (24 or 30 months) formats.
Classes for the part-time MBA are held at the NUS Kent Ridge campus, where the full-time MBA classes are held.

A typical full course, which comprises of 4 Units, meets once a week during semesters and twice a week during special terms. The duration of each class is 3 hours during semesters and 3½ hours during special terms.

Classes for full-time students are held on weekdays while electives are held on weekday evenings and during weekends (9am to 5pm).

Classes for part-time students are held typically on weekday evenings (6:30pm to 9:30pm) and Saturdays for elective courses (9am to 5pm). Part-time students will be given priority for core course classes held in the evenings.

Students may choose to fast-track their courses and complete the programme within 12 months, however this could mean compromising on other aspects of the programme. There may also be limitations to the choice of courses available to you. Please work closely with the Programme Management team on your timetable arrangement.

Students applying to switch from the full-time to the part-time programme will be required to provide proof or documentation that he/she can live and work in Singapore.

Yes. GMAT or GRE is acceptable for the NUS MBA application.

Part-time MBA applicants with more than 7 years of full-time (post-Bachelors' degree) work experience may take the Executive Assessment (EA) for their application, instead of the GMAT or GRE.

Test scores (GMAT/GRE/EA/TOEFL/IELTS) must be valid at the point of application and should not expire less than one month from the date of your application submission.

Part-time MBA applicants with more than 7 years of full-time work experience may attempt an application without a GMAT, GRE or EA score. However, waivers are granted on an exceptional basis, typically to candidates with more than 10 years of work experience, possess strong academic and career track records, and who excel at the admissions interview. Therefore, candidates may be asked to furnish a reasonable GMAT, GRE or EA score at any stage of the admissions process. As such, it is highly recommended to provide an EA score along with your application.
A TOEFL or IELTS score is required if your undergraduate degree was not completely taught in English. The minimum score is 100 for TOEFL, and 7.0 for IELTS.

The Admissions Committee will review your application and assess your profile based on your work experience, undergraduate grades, essays in the online application, interviews etc.

A GMAT score of 600 and above, would be a good gauge.
The average GMAT score is 670 for the full time MBA, and 650 for the part-time MBA.

Confirm your acceptance by completing an acceptance form together with a non-refundable acceptance fee of S$10,700 (incl. GST) which will be credited towards your tuition fees.

In addition, please arrange for the following to be sent to the NUS MBA Programme Office:

  2. Attested university degree scroll*;
  3. Official GMAT/GRE/EA score report

*To be sent directly by your university/institution. E-copy version is also acceptable.

The Admissions Team will place a candidate on the waiting list if they are not willing to offer him/her a place outright, but consider him/her strong enough to potentially be given a place on the programme. Waiting list candidates will be re-assessed after more applications have been reviewed. No action is required from you, however please allow up to 8 weeks for the final decision to be made.
The waiting list is not numbered or ranked in order of merit. The Admissions Team may contact the waiting list candidates either via email or phone should they be re-assessed.
Candidates need not put up two separate applications. Please indicate your first and second choice of programme within the same online application form.
Yes. If you are made an offer for your second choice, the Admissions Team will make a final decision on your application. Any offer for your first choice will take precedence. It is not possible to hold more than one admission offer.

Scholarship consideration will take place AFTER an applicant has been offered a place in the NUS MBA programme. As such, scholarship results may not be announced together with the admission offer.

Scholarship recipients will be notified latest by mid-May (for full-time MBA candidates) or mid-June (for part-time MBA candidates).
