Highlights from Asian Business Landscape in Singapore

The NUS MBA’s “Asian Business Landscape”, a 1-week intensive programme focusing on doing business in Asia, completed another successful run from 3-7 January 2023 with 25 participants from seven schools.

Student participants deepened their understanding of the Asian business landscape by immersing themselves in lectures, case studies, group work, company visits and panel discussions in the areas of strategy, digital transformation, fintech and innovation & entrepreneurship.

Topics covered included “The Singapore Transformation: An Asian Success Story” by Prof Nitin Pangakar, Academic Director of The NUS MBA and NUS-HEC Paris MBA Programmes; “Winning Strategy in Asia” by Prof Pasha Ishtiaq Mahmood, Head of Department, Strategy & Policy, “Blockchain Applications in Finance: Asian Perspective” by Prof Emir Hrnjic, Head of FinTech Training, NUS Asian Institute of Digital Finance; “Lessons in Entrepreneurship” by Prof Mita Nataranjan, Adjunct Professor from the Department of Strategy & Policy; as well as a case study on “Digital Transformation on the World’s Best Bank” by Robin Speculand, Strategy & Digital Implementation Specialist and UCLA-NUS Executive MBA alumni.
