Describe your personal brand.
I would describe myself as resilient, driven, and always eager to learn. I thrive in dynamic environments, where I can explore new ideas and stretch my capabilities. I am a fast learner who enjoys taking on challenges, and I bring a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to everything I do. I’m also open-minded and adaptable, with a strong work ethic and a genuine curiosity about the world around me. I take pride in being someone who people can rely on — especially in tough situations where perseverance and calm thinking are needed.
What were you doing before The NUS MBA?
I graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture and have since been working as an Architectural Project Manager at CapitaLand Development, overseeing large-scale real estate projects. It’s a role that blends technical expertise with stakeholder management and long-term strategic thinking.
While I’ve stayed in the same role throughout my MBA, the programme has sparked a strong interest in transitioning to a more business-oriented position — particularly in asset management and investment strategy, where I can bring both creative and analytical perspectives together.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about learning languages and cultures. I’m currently working on refining my Japanese proficiency and hope to pursue opportunities in Japan in the near future — both professionally and personally.
Please share your key achievements and leadership roles on the programme.
Balancing a full-time role in a demanding industry with part-time MBA studies was no small feat. But through disciplined time management and a clear sense of purpose, I was able to fully commit to both work and academics.
For the Marketing Strategy module in particular, I invested a lot of time in understanding real-world applications and case studies, while actively contributing to group work and class discussions. I was fortunate to work alongside brilliant classmates who pushed me to grow — and their support played a huge part in my success.
This award reflects not just personal effort, but also the collaborative and supportive environment we had in the cohort.
What has been the single most stand-out experience of your MBA?
It’s hard to pinpoint a single moment because there were so many enriching experiences. But a few that stand out include:
- The vast international exposure that the NUS MBA offers. With the support of my supervisor, I was able to participate in four short-term overseas programmes and a semester-long exchange — experiences that broadened my worldview and challenged me to step out of my comfort zone.
- The meaningful friendships and professional connections I made along the way. The cohort was filled with people from all walks of life, united by their passion, ambition, and willingness to support each other.
- Most of all, I’ve grown to become more self-assured and reflective. The MBA was not just an academic pursuit for me — it was a deeply personal journey of growth.
What advice would you give to other MBA aspirants?
Be open-minded and stay curious — not just in the classroom, but in every conversation and opportunity that comes your way. The MBA experience is what you make of it.
Say yes to new experiences, even if they seem outside your comfort zone. Get involved in faculty events, take part in case competitions or overseas exchanges, and build authentic relationships with your peers.
Above all, trust in your ability to grow through challenges. The rewards often come from places you least expect, and the people you meet will shape your journey in powerful ways.
