For Anjan, The NUS MBA provided him with opportunities to hone his consulting skills and business acumen, such as through case competitions held at esteemed universities such as Yale.
As the General Secretary of the NUS Graduate Students’ Society, the programme also enabled him to further develop his leadership skills by organising events for over 1,000 NUS graduates.

What was your top motivation for applying to the NUS MBA?

I wanted to switch industry and function, and I also wanted to explore opportunities in an exciting, new city like Singapore. I wanted a job that focused more on the business and commercial process. Eventually, with The NUS MBA, I achieved my desired outcome.

What were some of the most memorable experiences you had?

The leadership experience at GSS presented me with the unique opportunity to serve thousands of post-grad students from all NUS faculties. While designing and executing events that met their academic and social needs, I was able to put my passion to use by conducting the first-ever "trivia night" at NUS, which has now become a frequent event that students eagerly await for. Ideating with the GSS executive committee on events, collaborating with the various offices, and enriching the lives of my peers were hugely enriching experiences in my personal leadership journey.

What were some of the most memorable experiences you had?

Case competitions were also memorable for me. They gave me a chance to apply classroom learnings and case cracking methods to solve real-world problems that corporations face. I was glad to represent NUS at the Yale Integrated Leadership Case competition – the support from NUS faculty coupled with the competitive spirit during the event brought out the best consultant in me.
