Describe your personal brand.

"Just keep doing the good work and the good luck will come to you". I am quite easygoing and will never forget to chill. But at the same time, I'll try my best in my responsibilities and trust that a good outcome will eventually come.

What were you doing before The NUS MBA?

I was a mechanical engineer at SP Group (utilities company in Singapore) heading the gas transmission pipeline network operations and maintenance in Jurong Island and Tuas and really liked the work camaradarie and working on site. I've recently transitioned to a middle office role at DBS Bank and trying to catch up on the learning curve there in my new role!

Please share your key achievements and leadership roles on the programme.

I trust that I got this award as a vote of confidence from my friends to keep working hard and as a recognition of my effort in group work. Knowing that there are many others who ventured to lead on many initiatives, I am humbled to receive this work. Thank you for the nomination and I will try to do better still!

What has been the single most stand-out experience of your MBA?

What I found memorable and unique to the MBA program was that, as the classmates all came from different parts of the world and were all eager to form friendships and networks, there was a very genuine mood for taking steps to make friends and to work together, whether in class projects or in making parties happen, leaving me with some scenes that I don't think I will forget.

What advice would you give to other MBA aspirants?

Set your goal and work on it. Everyone comes into the MBA program with personal targets and goals. Seeing classmates making great progress in their respective careers in a different range of industries, countries and type of job, there is success to be found everywhere. Just need some effort (and time) to make it to the end. So, whatever challenge you may be thrown at, just focus and keep going!
