The English Bridging Course (EBC) page, is dedicated to nominated incoming MBA students who may benefit from additional support in improving their English language skills. The EBC is specifically designed to enhance your command of English, ensuring you can confidently engage in the academic and professional contexts of the NUS MBA programme. Nominated students will be notified by early June 2025.
The English Language Bridging Course is scheduled to take place from 21 to 25 July 2025, one week before the commencement of the NUS MBA Orientation. The primary objective of this course, facilitated by the Centre for English Language Communication (CELC), is to empower participants with improved speaking and listening skills. The programme spans five days, running from 21 to 25 July 2025, with sessions scheduled from 9am to 5pm daily. Participants can expect:
Over the course of five days, participants will engage in seven-hour sessions focusing on speaking and listening skills relevant to the MBA program. Topics covered include sharing information, participating in group discussions, delivering presentations, and acquiring topical vocabulary.
Each day, participants will undertake practical tasks outside of class to further enhance their language skills. These activities may include reading articles from sources like The Economist, listening to news broadcasts, and watching relevant videos. These tasks aim to facilitate vocabulary acquisition and reinforce listening comprehension.

The cost of the English Bridging Course will be covered by the NUS MBA Programme Office. No additional payments are required from participants.
